3 Steps to free yourself from overwhelm

Like most of us, you probably have a hard time staying motivated. You look around and all of a sudden you feel crippled with overwhelm. You feel like you have a lot to do. You ask yourself, How am I ever gonna finish all of that? You feel like you don’t have enough time.

You do know that you’re only one person. Right?! When you spend all of that time worrying, you’re actually not working. Which increase the feeling of overwhelm and you keep asking yourself, when am I gonna finish all of that? And that keeps you worry. And worrying increases the feeling of overwhelm. And…. You know it a vicious cycle.

To get out of this vicious cycle, you need a simple system to help you stay motivated and get everything on your to-do list done. This simple system can be used for both your business and your day to day life.

Take control

You’re the master of your life. No one else can do the work for you. If you want change, then you’ve got to do something about it. Wishing and daydreaming won’t get you anywhere. Take control of your ship and steer the wheel, choose your destination and GO. Want to lose weight, buy healthier food. Aiming for a promotion, work hard for it. Thinking about start your own business, buy your domain name. It all starts with you and your choices.

Set Goals

You know deep down what you want to achieve in life. Write it down. You owe it to yourself to make a commitment to make these goals come to light. Divide your long term goal into short term goal. So, you can work towards this goal in a smaller steps, which will get you closer to your overall goal. Doing this will help stay motivated & less overwhelm, because you will be able to see all the progress that you have made over time.

For example, your main goal is losing thirty pounds overall, break this goal down into five pound goals. Then you can see that you are losing weight and making progress.

Reward Yourself

You took control, you sat your goal and you actually achieved it. It’s time to reward yourself for reaching that goal. Celebrate each milestone no matter how small it is. Buy yourself gifts! Get something from that “To Buy” list of yours. Take a couple of days off to relax and refocus, Guilt free of course. Try keeping a diary so that you can see how far you have come. For example, you used to save $100 per month now you’re able to save $1000 per month. Without writing this information down, you may soon forget it. The diary can be helpful through the “Bad Days”, when you feel down and blue. You can actually read all about your progress and feel better.
